This week’s Supreme drop promises an exciting partnership with the renowned Japanese brand Bounty Hunter, established by Hikaru Iwanaga in 1995. Bounty Hunter has made a name for itself not only in the fashion and accessory realm but also as a notable player in the world of collectible toys.

Hailing from the city of Sasebo in Nagasaki, Iwanaga, born in 1968, grew up in the midst of Japan’s profound cultural transformation following the Second World War. This unique upbringing ignited his fascination with American toys and visual culture, ranging from iconic figures like G.I. Joe to beloved franchises like Disney, Frankenberry, and Star Wars.

Iwanaga’s path took a pivotal turn when he enrolled at the Tokyo Bunka Fashion College, where he crossed paths with Jun Takahashi of Undercover fame. Together, this dynamic duo didn’t just create a punk cover band named Tokyo Sex Pistols but also became instrumental figures in the thriving Ura-Hara district. This creative hub gave birth to influential brands like Undercover, A Bathing Ape, Neighborhood, WTAPS, and, of course, Bounty Hunter.

In preparation for their upcoming release, Iwanaga and Supreme have meticulously crafted a diverse collection. This curated selection spans a wide spectrum, encompassing items such as a varsity jacket, a bomber jacket, a sweatshirt, a jersey, a hoodie, a thermal shirt, a long-sleeve t-shirt, two short-sleeve t-shirts, jeans, work pants, a cap, a backpack, a ring, and an intriguing Skull-Kun figurine.

The Supreme x Bounty Hunter collection is available now.
