For 147 years, Levis has produced the 501 jeans, patented on May 20, 1873. And every year Levis celebrates the birthday of the invention of the most iconic garment of all time.
This year, they present the Levis x GOLF collection, Tyler The Creator’s brand. It is a colorful version of the classic jeans and the Trucker Jacket. In this way, it is possible to combine the classic aesthetics of the garments with the characteristic print of colored polka dots, which was first presented at the GOLF WANG show in 2016.
This collection is made up of a 501’93 jean, the new fit inspired by the aesthetics of the nineties with looser and straighter legs; and a vintage cut Trucker in raw denim, both covered with the polka dot print. The two garments also feature a back patch with the logos of the two brands. To more accurately reflect the concept, the denim includes both Levis sizing and GOLF sizing (in blue) in the back patch, giving each one his or her vision of how the 501 should be worn.
