AIAIAI x HIDDEN.NY Channel ’90s Tech Nostalgia in a New Audio Drop, Shot by Gunner Stahl

After years of product launches that all started to look and feel the same, design is finally loosening up again. The current shift points straight back to the 1990s — an era defined by bold forms, transparency, and tech that wasn’t afraid to look like tech. In the audio space, AIAIAI is one of the brands leading that return, and just in time for the holidays, it’s reopening its collaboration with HIDDEN.NY.

The revival arrives as a two-piece drop, introduced through a campaign shot by Gunner Stahl and starring Lil Yachty, whose own relationship with nostalgia and future-facing aesthetics makes him a natural fit. The visuals lean into restraint rather than spectacle, letting the objects themselves carry the mood.

First up is the TMA-2 Hidden Edition, a fresh take on AIAIAI’s modular headphone system. Rendered in a muted, near-monochrome palette, the design is punctuated by transparent components and subtle hits of HIDDEN.NY’s signature green. Under the surface, the headphones are built for long sessions, offering Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and up to 40 hours of battery life, balancing form with serious everyday function.

Alongside them is the UNIT-4 Hidden Edition, a compact speaker that feels lifted from a different timeline. Its translucent shell exposes just enough of its inner structure, offset by micro-perforated metal grilles and the same restrained green accents. Performance-wise, it delivers Bluetooth connectivity, up to 20 hours of playback, and a five-band EQ that can be fine-tuned via AIAIAI’s mobile app.
