Reference Festival has officially returned for its much-anticipated 2026 iteration, launching its provocative “Freie Kunst” (Free Art) edition across the French capital.
Curated by Reference Studios, the multi-day cultural takeover bypasses traditional white-cube constraints to stage boundary-pushing installations, live performances, and multi-disciplinary interventions across the city.
Spanning from October 22 to 25, the festival brings together an eclectic roster of creative heavyweights—including avant-garde icon FKA Twigs and visionary artist Michaela Meise—to explore themes of artistic autonomy, radical transparency, and public intervention.
