After almost 10 years, Google has opened its doors to their new campus in Bay View, a massive projectwhich bears the signature look of the Danish star architect Bjarke Ingels, BIG Group.
The massive building is impressive in both form and function, and will house 4,000 employees.
The tech giant’s new location is well thought out with sustainability and green energy – the impressive Dragonscale roof consisting of 90,000 solar cells can supply the building with green energy 90% of the time, and then the building has a positive water consumption, understood in the way that it collects more water than is consumed – and the excess water is collected and exported to the surrounding location for irrigation.
