Helly Hansen HH-118389225 “222” Winter Collection

    by OVERSTANDARD November 29, 2022
    written by OVERSTANDARD

Earlier this year, Helly Hansen presented the SS22 collection, for its HH-118389225 line. Now the iconic Norwegian brand has unveiled its Fall / Winter 22 collection, titled “222”. The technical HH-118389225 line, builds on the blueprints set in the inaugural “222” winter collection, and adds further depth and variation with developments of its flagship 3-in-1 Modular Parka, a new range of down outerwear and the introduction of a technical 3L shell pant.

As with all HH-118389225 collections, modularity continues to be a key focus, with the trademark hood docking system across a range of key pieces appearing in seasonal colours. Details include 3-layer shell technology, ultrasonic taped seams, reinforced webbing load eyelets and the brand’s modular, interchangeable ARC Storm Hood, which docks with multiple key styles.

The lookbook showcases HH-118389225’s aptitude in high altitude, low temperature environments. The Red volcanic terra and striking rock formations push the colours of the collection to the fore, highlighting both the performative and aesthetic facets of the collection.

“The 222 capsule builds upon the groundwork of the first winter 212 collection, retaining the focus on modularity and re-introducing further evolved versions of flagship HH-118389225 styles, such as the ARC 3-in-1 Modular Parka and the reversible puffa jackets. The bold color ways and statement camouflages are inspired by natural elements and non-typical winter landscapes, where we can reimagine Helly Hansen’s rich history through more abstract colors and patterns that are suited to the contemporary fashion consumer.”

    – Dorte Vedal – Design Director

“When it comes to Winter, people have preconceived ideas of what they imagine the coldest places in the world to look like, but deserts such as the Atacama in Chile can have below zero temperatures without snow. With the campaign, we wanted to subvert the perceptions of cold weather environments and juxtapose that with the 222 collection. By highlighting these natural inspirations and abstract geographical textures, we really allow the collection’s tones to come to the fore.”

    – Graeme Gaughan, Artistic Director

The Helly Hansen HH-118389225-222 collection is available now, in limited numbers, on the at selected top tier stockists globally, such as MATCHESFASHION and SSENSE.
