Off-White Presents a 90s-Inspired Twist on the Iconic ‘OUT OF OFFICE’

    by OVERSTANDARD September 5, 2024
    written by OVERSTANDARD

Off-White™️ continues to pay tribute to the visionary Virgil Abloh with the release of the ‘BE RIGHT BACK’, a spiritual successor to the iconic 2020 ‘OUT OF OFFICE’ sneaker. Drawing inspiration from the 90s and infusing it with a Japanese design sensibility, this new silhouette reimagines the brand’s signature arrow logo, giving it a bold and contemporary twist.

The low-top ‘BE RIGHT BACK’ features a playful mix of mesh panels and rubber leather detailing, resulting in a vibrant and dynamic aesthetic. Arrows crisscross the sneaker, emphasizing its sporty design, while the distinctive flange on the laces adds a unique touch.

The collection offers four colorways that celebrate iconic cities: New York, Milan, Paris, and Miami. The New York edition, in a blend of white and blue, pays homage to the city’s public buses and the sneaker’s role as a mode of urban transportation. Inspired by Milan’s trams, the Milan model features a classic palette of beige and yellow. Miami takes a more vibrant approach, drawing inspiration from neo-baroque pools with its pink and pastel blue colorway, evoking a year-round summer vibe. Finally, the Paris iteration showcases a grey and dark blue-green color scheme, referencing the Parisian buses that are a familiar part of the city’s daily life.
