With its new “Basecamp” collection, The North Face bridges the gap between mountain expeditions and urban life, transforming its technical legacy into a contemporary design statement. Drawing from decades of outdoor innovation, the line reinterprets the brand’s most iconic DNA — adventure, endurance, and comfort — through a fresh, city-ready aesthetic.
At the center of the collection are two signature icons: the Basecamp Duffel, a symbol of exploration, and the Nuptse Down Jacket, one of The North Face’s most recognizable classics. Together, they embody the spirit of those who move seamlessly between rugged landscapes and metropolitan environments.
To launch the collection, the brand journeyed to northern Norway, where photographer Jamie Shipton Mourncaptured a campaign that mirrors the balance between nature and modernity — showcasing how technical design can remain both functional and effortlessly stylish.
The footwear line anchors this concept through a series of versatile, high-performance silhouettes. The Base Camp WP 200 boots combine waterproof insulation, an EVA upper, and a Vibram sole for durability and comfort in any terrain. The Base Camp WP boots reinterpret the slipper as a weatherproof essential, integrating recycled THERMOBALL™ insulation for superior warmth in high-altitude conditions. Completing the range, the Base Camp Thermoball merges soft padding with a Vibram XS Trek sole for traction, while the Nuptse Traction Chukka and Nuptse Traction Bootieuse down filling to achieve lightweight softness and exceptional insulation, designed especially for recovery and rest.
