This Pokémon Blastoise Presentation Card Is Selling for $468,000 USD

Collectible cards are in high demand these days, with some cards selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars on auctions around the world. That very much includes Pokémon cards, which has some of the most sought after cards known to man.

The latest to hit the auction block is the Blastoise. It has a rating of NM / Mint + 8.5 and is one of only 2 cards that exists worldwide. The card was one of two cards used for a presentation with Nintendo, which was to be shown before they were approved to print Pokémon cards in English.

It came on the market in 1998 and has unique details that was not added to the final version of the card. For example, sharp corners, glossy back and a different font.

The card is currently listed on Heritage Auctions, at an initial list price of $468,000 USD.
