Nike is back with a new take on one of its classic silhouettes. As part of its “Move To Zero” campaign The footwear giant has decided to give the Air Max 95 a sustainable makeover.
Available in “Coconut Milk” and “Obsidian Wheat / Blue,” colorways, the shoes have been reworked with natural dyes and substances made from approximately 20 percent recycled materials. The upper of both pairs features a combination of cork and canvas, which gives a more recycled look.
In addition, the soles of the feet are equipped with the characteristic air bubble of the Swoosh brand. They feature the leaf motif and the letters “fig 5. Cork” found on the tongues, as well as the foam midsole.
The Nike Air Max 95 “Plant Based” is available now on the Nike website, and select retailers like Aphrodite.
