What happens when a brand built on brutalist architectural codes meets a producer whose sonic landscape is defined by raw decay and electronic abstraction? For Fall/Winter 2026, A-COLD-WALL* taps legendary electronic musician and producer Actress—real name Darren J. Cunningham—as the protagonist of a campaign that interrogates urban transformation, gentrification, and the lived reality of a rapidly changing London.
Directed by Nick Griffiths, the visual narrative follows Cunningham wandering through the stark, hyper-developed corridors of East London—a landscape radically re-engineered in the wake of the 2012 Olympics. Framed against CGI renders, glossy construction hoardings, and speculative developments that were marketed before they were physically built, Actress stands as a solitary, grounding figure. Rather than viewing urban renewal through a purely dystopian or romanticized lens, the campaign explores the tension between sterile architectural promises and the quiet, everyday human existence surviving within them.
The collection itself echoes this dialogue between utilitarian survival and modern refinement. Cunningham moves through the city draped in structured hooded jackets, earth-toned reversible layers, technical fleeces, and heavyweight ribbed knits, anchored in an industrial palette of iron, slate, bone, and muted olive. The visuals are further elevated by an original sonic composition by Cunningham, weaving a hypnotic soundscape directly into the seasonal campaign film.
