Moncler Takes Studio Ascenti to the Skies of New York

    by OVERSTANDARD June 6, 2025
    written by OVERSTANDARD

For the third edition of Studio Ascenti, Moncler raises the stakes once again—this time by staging a high-concept showcase atop a Manhattan skyscraper, offering panoramic views of New York City as the dramatic backdrop for its Fall/Winter 2025 footwear collection.

At the heart of the presentation are three new statement silhouettes: the Moncler Altive, the Tailgrip LP, and the Tailgrip Apex2. Each model merges mountaineering functionality with a distinctly sculptural, design-forward aesthetic. The immersive setting blurred the lines between a showroom and an art installation, creating a tactile, exploratory experience that encouraged interaction with the collection.

The event was hosted by Maurice Kamara, founder of The People Gallery, who guided guests through various stations and workshops. One standout moment came from artist Jessy Nite, who led a session on crafting paracord accessories, which guests could later attach to the shoes themselves—blending DIY culture with technical fashion.

The night culminated in an intimate performance by artist Tobe Nwigwe, who wore a customized ensemble and debuted the new Tailgrip MoMint on his feet, adding a personal, expressive close to a presentation that seamlessly fused style, performance, and culture.
