Boy Better Know x Corteiz: A Grime Legacy Reimagined in Streetwear

    by OVERSTANDARD August 4, 2025
    written by OVERSTANDARD

In a moment that marks 20 years of grime history, Boy Better Know — the iconic collective founded by Skepta and Jme in 2005 — is celebrating its legacy not with nostalgia, but with a bold stride into the present. The crew has teamed up with Corteiz, the culture-shifting streetwear label helmed by Clint, for a collaborative collection that fuses the raw spirit of UK grime with the disruptive energy of new-gen fashion.

After months of subtle hints and cryptic drops, the partnership was officially confirmed with a freestyle featuring Skepta, Jme, Frisco, Jammer, and Shorty, underscoring the unity and timeless influence of the crew. The collectionrevisits key visual codes from both entities: the classic Boy Better Know T-shirt is reborn with a Corteiz twist, while tracksuits carry shared motifs that reflect both grime’s roots and streetwear’s evolution.

A standout piece includes a mesh tee featuring an illustration of Skepta in clown makeup — a subtle but powerful nod to the “Too Many Man” era, capturing the intersection of music, myth, and modern fashion iconography.

This isn’t just merch — it’s a cultural artifact. A celebration of UK underground influence, repackaged for a new generation.
