Helena Christensen’s BoConcept Debut Brings Danish Nostalgia Into Design

A post shared by BoConcept España (@boconceptspain)

Supermodel, photographer, and creative polymath Helena Christensen has unveiled her first collaboration with Danish interiors brand BoConcept, and it’s as personal as it is sculptural. At the heart of the project is the Ø armchair, a name that nods both to her Scandinavian roots and the Danish letter symbolising “island.” The concept channels the feeling of retreat — a piece that invites you to sink in and momentarily detach from the noise of the world.

Part sofa, part lounge chair, the design rejects sharpness in favour of soft, embracing curves, wrapping the sitter in an almost cocoon-like structure. Three oversized cushions heighten the sense of comfort, while the tactile fabric — christened Lucca — was handpicked by Christensen herself, underlining her role as both muse and maker.

Alongside this debut, Christensen extends her ongoing Flora collection, continuing her exploration into how art, photography, and object design intersect. Much like her photography, which often blends intimacy with atmosphere, these pieces speak to memory and mood as much as to aesthetics.

The collaboration marks a new chapter in Christensen’s career, where her Danish heritage, visual storytelling, and design sensibility converge — transforming furniture into an expression of both personal history and cultural identity.
