The Washington Wizards rookie is the first Japanese born player to be drafted in the NBA’s first round, representing an increasingly global league with players like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kristaps Porziņģis and Bogdan Bogdanović etc.. This summer, he’ll play in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics for his home country of Japan.
