In honor of its 30th anniversary and 20 years of collaboration with adidas, the renowned Japanese streetwear brand, BAPE, is preparing to launch two exclusive editions of the adidas Forum 84 Low sneakers. To promote this special release, the brand has enlisted the talents of NBA player Jalen Green for a captivating campaign.

Jalen Green, an emerging basketball star, revealed that he first discovered BAPE in the 2000s through the music of Lil Wayne and has been an avid fan ever since. He expressed his excitement about being approached by adidas to participate in the collaboration, describing it as a surreal moment. During his time in the G-League, he even tagged BAPE in an attempt to capture the brand’s attention.

The distinctive essence of BAPE is reflected in these sneakers through the incorporation of the iconic ABC camouflage pattern, elegantly spread across the shoe overlays. The two leather iterations come in green and blue, complemented respectively by gold and silver accents. Each pair boasts a special 30th anniversary logo on the tongue, adorned with straps featuring the phrases “A BATHING APE” and “30” on the dubraes. Green shared his thoughts, stating, “I’m particularly drawn to the green colorway, but I feel like the blue one has the potential to make a bold statement when paired with the right ensemble.” The silhouette of the sneakers showcases an off-white midsole atop a vibrant rubber outsole, adding to its visual appeal.

Starting from May 20, the BAPE x adidas Forum 84 Low “30th Anniversary” collection will be available for purchase at adidas, BAPE, and select retailers. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both brands and promises to captivate sneaker enthusiasts and streetwear aficionados alike.
