Far away from the typical fashion week capitals, an ultra-exclusive drop at Sydney’s SURPLUS festival unites workwear grit with ACG legacy.
While most major collaborations are blasted across global digital billboards months in advance, some of the sharpest drops are still born out of pure underground exclusivity. For its second consecutive year, Sydney’s boundary-pushing SURPLUS festival served as the clandestine incubator for an unexpected three-way alliance: Carhartt WIP, Nike, and Australian streetwear cornerstone SUPPLY.
Available solely at the festival’s marketplace, the limited drop fused Carhartt WIP’s rugged utility with the Swoosh’s technical heritage, anchored by an exclusive faux-leather-sleeved Santa Fe jacket, heavy zip hoodies, and matching fleece apparel.
Stealing the spotlight across the release was the debut of the Air Max Goadome Low in three distinct colorways. Originally launched in 2000 under Nike’s All Conditions Gear (ACG) umbrella as an outdoor trail boot before morphing into an urban uniform across New York and Washington D.C., the hybrid silhouette bridges all-terrain function with street-level mythology.
