Daniel Arsham and Stone Island, have teamed up and customized a Porsche 930 and Mercedes Unimog 404. The project has been named “Safari” and both vehicles have been customized to be off-road, with Stone Island interior fabric.

The Porsche is from 1986, and based on the classic 911 model, which has been completely reimagined for off-road use, keeping as many original parts as possible. Proper tires and beefed-up suspension join rally-style bumpers and headlights for a totally 4×4 aesthetic. The Mercedes Unimog 404 is usually used as an an assistance vehicle. It features Stone Island’s Stella fabric in a custom green that covers the cab and bed of the truck.

In both models, the interiors are upholstered in Stone Island moleskin leather. To give it a dusty look, the fabric underwent a dyeing and laser process, which has etched Arsham Studio and Stone Island emblems on the headrests. The project also includes jumpsuits and Stella cloth bags.

The vehicles will be on display at the La Brea Stone Island Store in Los Angeles from March 19-20.
