Bored Ape Yacht Club Presents the ApeCoin

The good folks behind Yuga Labs are making some big moves these days. Last week the company announced the acquisition of CryptoPunks and Meebits, meaning that they now own 3 of the most valuable NFT collections in the world. Now they have even more big news, with the unveiling of its very own ApeCoin. A token that in the company’s own words are “for culture, gaming, and commerce used to empower a decentralized community building at the forefront of web3.”

The ApeCoin is owned and operated by the ApeCoin DAO, with 62% of the 1 billion supply assigned to the ApeCoin community and 15% of the total supply available for BAYC NFT holders. It will also be possible to purchase ApeCoin on major crypto exchanges, like Coinbase and Crypto.com.
