Maria Grazia Chiuri recently revealed Dior’s upcoming Pre-Fall 2024 lineup, transporting us to the essence of the 19th century while paying homage to the vibrant spirit of New York City. Drawing inspiration from Christian Dior’s illustrious autobiography, this collection aspires to encapsulate a significant chapter in the designer’s life, a period when he explored the distinctiveness of both Paris and New York, unraveling the elements that render each a unique and inspiring style capital.

In the pursuit of this vision, Chiuri delves into two distinct prints, portraying the iconic Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower. The collection, equally influenced by the timeless allure of actress Marlene Dietrich, derives inspiration from her singular presence and “boyish charm.” This influence is translated into tailored suits and silhouettes that echo a traditional masculinity but are infused with a contemporary and unconventional twist.
