Intersecting traditional haute couture craftsmanship with raw, windswept landscapes, Maria Grazia Chiuri turns her latest voyage into a cinematic exploration of heritage and freedom.

For Dior’s Cruise collections, location is never a simple backdrop—it is a living, breathing co-creator. For Cruise 2027, the French luxury house escapes the urban confines of Paris to launch a campaign steeped in maritime history, sun-bleached textures, and romanticism. Under the creative direction of Maria Grazia Chiuri, the new visuals juxtapose the house’s sharp tailoring with the unpolished energy of coastal cliffs and sweeping ocean tides.

Rather than leaning into traditional resort tropes, the campaign strips away excessive artifice to center fluid silhouettes, intricate local embroidery traditions, and heavily structured outerwear built for the elements.

“Dior’s Cruise 2027 isn’t about escapism for the sake of luxury—it’s a confrontation between ancestral textile craft and the untamed force of nature.”

Captured through a cinematic lens, the campaign spotlights high-contrast lace, weather-treated jacquards, and updated iterations of the house’s signature Bar jacket, softened to mimic the movement of sea winds. By embedding high-fashion codes directly into raw, sun-baked terrain, Dior transforms its resort aesthetic into a subversive visual poem about movement, heritage, and female autonomy.
