Stone Island‘s Ghost collection explores the concept of camouflage through minimalist, monochromatic designs. This design philosophy extends to even the brand’s iconic sleeve patch, seamlessly integrating it into the garment’s overall look. This integration creates a sophisticated, understated aesthetic.
The collection is showcased as part of Stone Island’s ongoing “COMMUNITY AS A FORM OF RESEARCH” project. This initiative highlights individuals within the brand’s cultural and creative sphere, featuring them in the campaign. The campaign emphasizes the versatility and high-quality materials of the Ghost collection.
Specifically, the campaign features three prominent figures: New York Jets player Garrett Williams models a jacket crafted from Alcantara, a luxurious fabric known for its soft texture, achieved through a blend of traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. Actor Ethan Ruanlleva sports a contemporary take on a classic blazer, meticulously woven from superfine cotton threads and finished with modern details like zippers and buttons. Finally, former footballer Hidetoshi Nakata is pictured wearing a linen trouser and overshirt combination, made from organically sourced cotton fibers, emphasizing the collection’s commitment to sustainable materials. The campaign, therefore, not only showcases the Ghost collection’s aesthetic but also its diverse appeal and focus on innovative and responsible production.
