Luxembourg is known for being one of the wealthiest and best run countries in the world, having the world’s second-highest GDP per capita, just behind Qatar.
Now they have become one of the first European countries to legalize cannabis.
As announced by the Luxembourg government on Friday, the new legislation aims to address the problem of drug-related crime by introducing fundamental changes in the country’s approach to the recreational use and cultivation of cannabis. Luxembourg adults will be able to grow up to four cannabis plants in their homes or gardens under laws that will make it the first country in Europe to legalize the production and use of this drug.
