After decades steering the creative engines of Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Fendi, the British designer is carving out his own autonomous universe with a debut slated for Fall/Winter 2027.
For over twenty years, Kim Jones has operated as one of the most powerful architects of modern luxury, bridging the gap between high-fashion couture and raw streetwear subculture across legendary tenures at Louis Vuitton, Dior Men, and Fendi. Now, the British designer is turning the page on mega-conglomerate creative direction to step out under his own banner: announcing the launch of his independent eponymous label, Kim Jones, with a debut collection arriving for Fall/Winter 2027.
Shunning the frantic pace of traditional seasonal calendars, the upcoming brand will focus on versatile wardrobe essentials that defy traditional gender categories, with Japanese textile manufacturing and Italian leather goods craftsmanship serving as its bedrock.
“After years of building worlds inside heritage houses, Kim Jones is finally staking out his own sovereign territory—where art, subculture, and uncompromising design collide on his own terms.”
Captured through the lens of longtime collaborator Alasdair McLellan, the designer’s new venture will launch exclusively online in mid-2027 before planting its flag at Hong Kong’s Central Yards with a flagship boutique opening in October. By combining his deep reverence for contemporary art, design, and subcultural history, Jones is reclaiming total creative autonomy.
