For Fall/Winter 2025, Awake NY steps away from the street and into a space of quiet contemplation. The label launches the season with Silent Echoes, an immersive installation by artist Leyla Fischer, opening on October 18 at the brand’s Orchard Street flagship in New York. For two hours, the store will shed its usual rhythm and transform into a temporary gallery, inviting visitors to slow down and listen to stillness.
At the core of Silent Echoes are Fischer’s recurring dog figures, rendered in thick layers of oil paint that carry the weight of instinct, memory, and restraint. Her canvases—titled “Guardians of Valor,” “Hidden Identity,” “Masters of Angels,” “Downfall,” “Yer Blues,” and “She Loves You”—move between devotion and doubt, each one pulsing with a tension that feels both spiritual and human.
Fischer has long explored faith, emotion, and identity without resorting to explicit narrative. Her work doesn’t tell stories—it creates atmospheres, spaces where strength and fragility coexist in quiet equilibrium. Here, those emotional registers find a new echo inside Awake NY’s cultural orbit, merging the brand’s New York grit with Fischer’s introspective realism.
In staging this collaboration, Awake NY reaffirms its identity as more than a clothing label—it’s a platform for creative exchange, a bridge between fashion and contemporary art. Silent Echoes becomes not only an exhibition but a moment of collective pause, a reminder that reflection, too, can be an act of rebellion.
