Gosha Rubchinskiy is staging a return, announcing the relaunch of his namesake label with a direct-to-consumer model and plans for a global tour. First revealed on Instagram earlier this year, the comeback begins with a capsule of basics—T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, bomber jackets, and backpacks now available online, with jeans and coatsarriving soon. The designer has also teased the possibility of exploring Haute Couture, though outside the official Fashion Week calendar, opting instead for an intimate tour through China, Japan, and the United States to connect directly with his fans.
Unlike in the past, Rubchinskiy now retains full control of his brand’s direction, financing the project with personal capital and the support of friends. He describes this phase as a “collective initiative”, while leaving the door open to multi-brand collaborations or future boutiques.
The relaunch arrives seven years after his abrupt hiatus in 2018, when accusations of inappropriate messages to a minor disrupted his meteoric rise alongside contemporaries like Demna Gvasalia. At the time, his team insisted the exchange was a misinterpreted casting process, a position Rubchinskiy still maintains. Moving forward, he has committed to working with a casting director to oversee communications with models and agencies.
In the interim, Rubchinskiy collaborated with Yeezy and Bikkembergs, presenting at Pitti Uomo, before now reclaiming his name with a new creative direction. This phase signals an effort to rebuild trust, reconnect with his global community, and step away from the conventional runway system, positioning himself as both outsider and innovator.
