K-Way and Play Comme des Garçons Return to Le Vrai With Nylon 4.0

by OS Staff December 30, 2025
    written by OS Staff

Some silhouettes don’t need reinvention — they need refinement. That’s the logic behind the latest capsule built around Le Vrai, a jacket so recognisable that altering its shape would miss the point entirely. Instead, the update happens where it matters most: in the material.

The new release keeps the design clean, familiar, and precise, while introducing Nylon 4.0, a next-generation fabric engineered to perform harder without looking different. Lighter, more breathable, and more resistant to rain, the material shifts Le Vrai into the present without disrupting its visual language. It’s the kind of upgrade you feel rather than see — one that makes sense whether you’re navigating city streets or disappearing for an unplanned escape outdoors.

The capsule lands in two restrained colourways, gold and black, reinforcing the idea that function, not excess, is the focus. There’s no decorative noise here, just a technical evolution that respects the jacket’s identity while extending its lifespan in contemporary wardrobes.

To frame the release, the brand turned to Keizo Kitajima, the Japanese photographer known for his unfiltered approach to street photography. His imagery strips away performance and polish, capturing the jackets in motion rather than on display. Light flares, shadows, and fragments of colour create a visual rhythm that feels observational rather than staged.

In Kitajima’s hands, the garment doesn’t pose — it exists. The images carry an almost documentary quality, mirroring the logic of the product itself: practical, unpretentious, and grounded in real use. It’s a reminder that technical clothing doesn’t need spectacle to prove its worth.
