The world’s largest private whiskey collection was up for grabs at auction recently!

There were a total of 1,600 people bidding for the whiskey collection as the auction kicked off back on Monday, February 17th. But of course, this is no ordinary collection.

We’re talking 1932 bottles, which have been nicknamed, “The Perfect Collection: Part One.”

The collection was previously owned by whiskey aficionado Richard Gooding from Colorado, USA, who died in 2014.

So what’s up for grabs?

The highlight was undoubtedly a Macallan 1926 Valerio Adami 60s, and the bottle itself was sold for nothing less than $1 million. There are only 40 bottles of this particular edition worldwide!

The collection also featured, The Macallan 1928 Anniversary Malt 50 Year Old and a Macallan 62 Year Old Lalique set.

So how much did this collection go for? $4.3 million baby!

Part II of the collection will be auctioned in April!
