After having released the “The Future Trail“ collection, The good folks behind Merrell’s premium footwear line, 1TRL, has unveiled, “The Trail That Came Before“, featuring the pigeon keepers of Brooklyn. The campaign is a human story that celebrates the unique subculture that connects people in the heart of the city to the wilderness.

Pigeon keeping, a tradition that dates back thousands of years and was once associated with rural landscapes, is now thriving across all five boroughs of New York City.
The launch of the Moab Mesa Luxe 1TRL silhouette is a significant highlight of the campaign. It is a reimagined version of Merrell’s iconic Moab model and represents the brand’s initial steps in its journey with the Moab. This new version is made with premium waterproof suede, a nubuck leather, and mesh upper.
Along with the Moab Mesa Luxe, the campaign also showcases the return of the Eagle Luxe GTX 1TRL silhouette in FW22. Like the Mesa, this shoe offers a fresh take on an archival classic. Featuring a GORE-TEX® waterproof membrane, suede leather and mesh upper, and an inside zipper for easy access, the Eagle Luxe is a modern update to a timeless design.
