For Fall/Winter 2025Stone Island pushes the boundaries of textile innovation with its new initiative, “Denim Research.” The project represents a deep exploration into technical design, reimagining denim as a field for experimentation and engineering rather than tradition. Every garment reflects the brand’s dedication to functionality, craftsmanship, and material science.

The collection introduces a diverse range of specialized fabrics, including Polypropylene DenimDavid Light Indigo-TC, and Micro Corduroy, alongside traditional Japanese raw selvedge denim. These advanced materials form the foundation of an assortment that spans outerwear, overshirts, utility vests, and both classic and Penta jeans. Adding to its identity, each piece features a new black badge embossed with a blue compass logo and nickel shank buttons, an homage to denim’s enduring heritage within the Stone Island universe.

While denim first appeared in the brand’s archives back in 1984, and later resurfaced through the “Stone Island Denims” line launched in Fall/Winter 2001, that chapter was eventually closed. With Denim Research, the label revives and evolves its relationship with the fabric, merging heritage and forward-thinking innovation.

The capsule is priced between ¥64,900 and ¥154,000 JPY (approximately $440–$1,040 USD) and is available for pre-sale at the Stone Island Tokyo Aoyama store and a pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku Men’s Building until October 7. The full launch follows on October 16, when it will reach Stone Island’s flagship boutiques and the official online storeacross Japan.
