Tinder has announced that it will let you do the background check on the app.
This decision was made because an investigation found registered sex offenders and predators.

This next feature will allow Tinder users to access information from public records.

In order to be able to carry it out and be more secure, Tinder is developing a new feature to be able to access the background of registered profiles through a paid service. Information from public records here will include “reports of violence or abuse, including arrests, convictions, restraining orders, harassment, and other violent crimes.”

As far as we know, the update will arrive at the end of the year and will be available to America.
