Deconstructing Firebird and SST tracksuits through hyper-exaggerated proportions and rich 420-gram fleece, the American visionary launches an ongoing lineage of elevated sportswear staples.
When sportswear giants look to reinvent their archival icons, they usually rely on safe, predictable tweaks. But when Willy Chavarria steps into the laboratory, comfort and tradition are completely overhauled through a lens of distinct social gravity and subcultural drama. Teaming up with adidas Originals, Chavarria is launching adiSignature—a permanent, ongoing line that deconstructs the brand’s most recognizable sportswear staples.
Built around heavy 420-gram brushed cotton fleece, dropped shoulders, and aggressively oversized silhouettes, the inaugural drop reinterprets classic Firebird and SST tracksuits, hoodies, and tees. Captured through the lens of Brianna Capozzi with styling by Georgia Pendlebury, the campaign clashes vibrant 1980s-inspired tones of rose, lavender, and bold red with grounded utilitarian neutrals.
