The Japanese footwear brand Suicoke and Danish furniture design brand HAY, has collaborated on 3 limited versions of the Depa sandal.
On top, all three styles use contrasting color block warm and cool tones. One style combines blue, burgundy, pink, and purple, and another opts for red, pink, orange, purple, and blue. The third, burgundy, pink, black, mint green and orange.
These fabric upper straps are adorned with a special tag on the midfoot and secured with Velcro on the forefoot and ankle. Double-layered soles stack textured foam on black rubber, and a round, open toe that increases flexibility.
In all of our collaborations, we strive to partner with brands whose values and aesthetics are in tune with ours, and Suicoke is the benchmark brand for this type of sandal. I like the aesthetics, the shape and the functionality, and I felt that HAY’s most important contribution to this perfect sandal was a fresh new version of the color.
